AI report generation and SOAP note assistance connect to your own AI infrastructure - either a self-hosted Ollama instance running on your local network or server, or your own API key with an AI provider (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar). Maree-CareFlow does not supply AI compute or consume tokens on your behalf - you retain full control over your AI provider, data, and costs. AI features are available on paid plans only (Practitioner and above).

Maree-CareFlow provides the capability to connect your practice to these providers - you supply your
own account credentials with each provider and pay your provider directly for usage costs.
We do not resell or mark up third-party service fees.
Telehealth is different: video is built in (Jitsi) and needs no third-party account - you can
optionally point it at your own self-hosted Jitsi server, but nothing is required to start.
You can connect your own external accounts (SMS gateway, AI provider, Xero/MYOB accounting, payments) at no charge using our setup guides. If you would prefer Maree-CareFlow staff to set up a third-party service that connects via API on your behalf - for example creating and configuring your SMS gateway account, an external AI provider, or an accounting connection - a once-off API setup fee applies, from AUD $149 per external service, quoted before work begins. The fee covers account configuration, credential installation, and a verified end-to-end test. Ongoing usage costs remain payable to the third-party provider directly.
